New Dolly Parton Exhibit Coming to Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Later This Year

Dolly Parton is one of the most beloved figures in country music history. Those who aren’t fans of the genre are fans of hers due to her wide-reaching fame. Later this year, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will honor the East Tennessee native with an exhibit that traces her long and illustrious career.

“Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker” will follow Parton’s career from her first day in Nashville to her current level of stardom. The exhibit will highlight pivotal moments in her career, including her Grand Ole Opry debut. It will also show how the “I Will Always Love You” singer’s unmatched ambition and resolve helped her overcome obstacles to become a globally recognized singer, songwriter, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman.

The exhibit will display a wealth of artifacts from Parton’s career, including stagewear, photos, handwritten lyric sheets, instruments, and more. It will also feature rare interview footage. Fans will be able to see the handwritten first draft of “Jolene,” her Kennedy Center Honors medallion, and much more.

The exhibit will open on May 20 and will run through September 2026.

Dolly Parton Discusses Her Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Exhibit

Dolly Parton spoke about the new exhibit in a press release. “Being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame was one of the greatest moments of my life, and being able to have a personal exhibit for the fans that put me there is a very big deal for me,” she shared in the statement. “This seeker is very proud and honored, and I hope you enjoy my journey. I will always love you,” she added.

Kyle Young, CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, also spoke about the new exhibit in the release. “After accomplishing enough for three lifetimes, Dolly Parton continues to astound and amaze us with her boundless talent, her vivacious wit, and her tremendous generosity,” he shared. “Like all great artists, Parton has demonstrated consistently that she can transform adversity and setbacks into works of stunning beauty and insight into the human condition.”
