On April 19, Noah Kahan will play an intimate show at Denver’s Summit Music Hall, but unless you have a financially draining nicotine habit, you might not have known. That’s because the show is sponsored by the nicotine pouch brand Zyn. To score tickets, fans had to rack up 3,000 points as part of Zyn’s rewards member program. According to a report from Westword, the tickets sold out within a week.

Furthermore, the monetary equivalent of 3,000 Zyn points is around $2,000, seeing as the tins of pouches cost around $10 each. On each tin, there’s a QR code to attain points, with each scan earning users 15 points. To earn the necessary 3,000 points, that’s around 200 tins. A lot of Zyn to buy in one week if you didn’t have points already squirreled away.
There’s no news as to whether or not Kahan is a Zyn supporter, but the sponsorship still seems a little misaligned. Everyone has their vices, though, and this is a no judgement zone. Also, a gig is a gig. Still, Westword also reported that Phillip Morris, which owns Zyn, has invested $600 million in a new factory in Aurora, Colorado. Clearly, the company is attempting to establish a presence in the state.
Noah Kahan Will Appear On Sesame Street to Help Kids Cope With Their Emotions
On Thursday, March 6, Noah Kahan will be taking his emotional coping tips to the street. Sesame Street, to be exact. Kahan is appearing on an episode of the beloved TV show as part of its 55th season, meeting with Elmo, Big Bird, and the others to play some music and help kids cope with their “big feelings.”
“Noah was just showing us how music makes him happy,” said Big Bird in a clip from the episode. Kahan replied, “In fact, music can help when you’re having all kind of feelings.” He then launched into a song which specifically mentions heartbreak, when a “toy breaks,” or “thoughts are flying around like snowflakes flurrying.”
The Sesame Street residents joined Kahan for the chorus, where they sang, “Music music happy music helps when I feel sad / When I sing a happy song pretty soon the smile’s back.”
