While appearing on shows like Rules of Engagement, Carla Harvey eventually pursued her dream of being a touring musician when she formed the Butcher Babies. Turning her attention to genres like thrash metal, the singer released several albums with the band like Goliath and Take It Like A Man. But back in July 2024, the singer and Butcher Babies decided to part ways. And although the future appeared somewhat of an unknown for the singer, it seemed that Harvey had once again found her way to the stage as she announced she was joining a popular ‘90s band.

Besides posting a picture of herself on Instagram, Harvey revealed she had joined Lords of Acid. She captioned the picture, writing, “I had three favorite bands in high school: Guns N Roses, Pantera, and Lords of Acid . Each one shaped me and uniquely influenced me as an artist. LOA had me hooked from the moment I heard I Sit on Acid as a teenager dancing the night away at Detroit’s goth Industrial Haven City Club.”
Falling in love with the band, Harvey shared her surprise that she watched her dream come true. “My obsession only grew after I saw @artofcoop infamous devils on the cover of Voodo U. Now I get to record an album with my industrial heroes…Pinch 16 year old me! She’ll be the one in the vocal booth. Praise the Lords!”
Butcher Babies Wish Carla Harvey “The Best” With Music Career
Although Harvey and Butcher Babies decided to go their separate ways, the band took a moment to celebrate the star. They wrote, “As you may have already guessed, it is confirmed that Carla Harvey and Butcher Babies have officially parted ways. Carla has been an integral part of our journey, bringing her unique talent, passion, and energy to the band. We are grateful for the incredible memories we’ve made together and the impact she has had on our music and our fans.”
While saddened over the news, Butcher Babies wished her the best, concluding, “We will miss her greatly and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
