Winter has its perks, as it’s a phenomenal period full of hibernation, seasonal celebration, and warranted laziness. However, the seasonal depression it entails could probably be left in the fall as far as everyone is concerned. The perfect cure for that seasonal melancholy is none other than spring and the soundtrack that lives upon its blooming petals.

Out of all the seasons, spring arguably has the most vibrant catalog of songs. Between songs about nature’s celebration and the defrosting of the world, spring is the perfect musical landscape for optimistic and spirit-raising tunes. That being said, here are three songs about spring and the soulful positivity it entails!
“Here Comes The Sun” by The Beatles
Even though The Beatles have their fair share of dismal tracks, it seems the majority of their catalog caters to producing positivity. One song that does an exemplary job of that is their 1969 classic “Here Comes The Sun”. This song is about the whimsical and celebratory transition of winter to spring, and consequently, it fills listeners with the same warmth of the impending sunshine.
This single is one of the few Beatles tracks that does not feature John Lennon. That being said, the track’s creative input seemingly belongs solely to George Harrison. And Harrison’s creative control birthed the most famously sentimental song about spring’s epic entry.
“Up With The Birds” by Coldplay
Like The Beatles, Coldplay are masters of creating soulfully uplifting tunes, and they do just that on “Up With The Birds”. Not only does the song articulate the changing of seasons, but it also vocalizes the changing of fates. To Coldplay and many others, spring isn’t just the coming of better weather but also the coming of better fortune.
“Up With The Birds” was released in 2011 on Coldplay’s studio album Mylo Xyloto. Even though it had a rather mediocre chart performance, the song’s success resided in the ray of positivity it provided the world. So, if you need a reminder that good things are on their way, then give this Coldplay single a listen.
“Spring Vacation” by The Beach Boys
One could argue that any Beach Boys song sounds like a celebration of both spring and summer. However, their track “Spring Vacation” takes that notion to a whole new level, thanks to its jubilant music and childishly carefree lyrics. If you’re looking to escape and enjoy some super sweet tunes, then there is no song more perfect than “Spring Vacation”.
Released in 2012 on the album That’s Why God Made The Radio, this Beach Boys track seemingly marinated in the band for quite some time. Well, it marinated for long enough, as the result encompasses all the tasteful feelings of spring in under four minutes.
