Texas-based Red Dirt country artist Wade Bowen is counting his lucky stars today after a bus crash in his home state. He and his band were on the road last week when a car struck the front of their bus. Fortunately, everyone seems to have come through unharmed.

Earlier today (March 10), Bowen took to social media to share some photos of the accident’s aftermath and give his fans and followers an update. “As we left Austin Friday night our bus was hit by another car. Thankfully we are all okay,” he wrote in the post. “I’m so blessed to have the band and crew I do. Everyone came together and figured out how to make it to our next show in Lubbock and pull off a magical night,” he added.
Due to the damage sustained during the accident, Bowen and his band had to make the trek without some of their gear. However, that wasn’t an issue, according to the post. “A huge shoutout to Lubbock, TX for all of the people that came to our rescue with the grat and instruments we needed to make it happen,” Bowen wrote. “In spite of everything we had one of my favorite shows ever in the town that started it all for me,” he added.
Bowen didn’t just have kind words for his crew and those who helped them pull off the show. He also took time to show love to those who ensured the safety of everyone involved at the scene of the crash. “Thank you to all of the police officers, firemen, tow truckers, and everyone that took good care of us and our situation,” he wrote.
Bowen came away from the ordeal feeling lucky and delivered some solid advice. “We are very lucky to be safe and also to live this life! Call your mom,” he concluded.
