‘The Voice’ Season 27 Live Blog: The Battles Part 3 (March 24, 2025)

The Voice is set to air an all-new episode tonight, March 24, at 8/7c on NBC. After brilliant back-to-back battle rounds, coaches and fans will get their final taste of the battles tonight, before Knockouts start next week.

Kelsea Finally Uses Her Steal

Tinika didn’t have too much time to mourn losing the battle, as Kelsea pressed her button to use her sole steal and get the singer on her team. “Hearing her voice, I just knew,” Kelsea said. “Tinika adds a level of soul to Team Kelsea that I’m very excited about.”

Adam Makes His Toughest Choice Yet

Adam predicted that Conor and Tinika’s battle would “be a tough one” to choose a winner for. He was right, as he was left with an incredibly difficult decision after the pair’s incredible performance. Adam ultimately selected Conor as the winner, leaving Tinika in jeopardy.

Adam Chooses a Great Song

Adam paired four-chair turn Conor James with coach reply recipient Tinika Wyatt to perform PJ Morton’s version “How Deep Is Your Love,” which was first released by the Bee Gees. Adam called the track “one of my favorite songs,” and the contestants agreed. Conor said he plays the song at most of his gigs, while Tinika said she relates to the track because her husband has “proven his love for me.”

In peeks at three battles that didn’t air in full, Team Legend’s Jacquelyn George bested her partner, while Team Kelsea’s Dan Kiernan and Page Mackenzie won their respective battles..

Michael Picks as the Winner

Both Adam and Ricardo did Michael proud with the performance, but the coach could only keep one of the men on his team. He decided to move forward with Adam, which sent Ricardo home.

Michael Chooses His Own Song

For Adam David and Ricardo Moreno’s battle, Michael decided to have the men sing his own song. “I chose a song from maybe one of the greatest singer songwriters in the history world. I chose a song I wrote called ‘Home.’ I chose my own song,” he laughed during rehearsals. Adam noted that he was both honored and felt “a little pressure” by the choice, while Ricardo said he just wanted “to make Michael proud” with his performance.

John Names the Winner of the Battle

Both Renzo and Jay brought it for their battle, pleasing their coach and leaving him with a tough choice. John praised the men for their “great, great performance,” complimenting Jay’s “tone” and Renzo’s “melodic choices.” He ultimately selected Renzo as the winner of the battle.

Team Legend's Renzo and Jay Love Their Song

Team Legend’s Renzo was delighted by his coach’s song choice, Bob Marley and the Wailers’ “Is This Love,” because he has been known to sing the track during car rides with one of his daughters. Meanwhile, Renzo’s battle partner, Jay Ammo, was equally thrilled as Bob Marley has been an inspiration for him throughout his life.

Is Adam the New King of Country?

When it got to the battle, Trevon and Tyler wowed, leading Adam to receive compliments from his fellow coaches. Michael marveled, “I had no idea Adam would be the new king of country!” John joked that Adam’s chair—which formerly belonged to Blake Shelton—was rubbing off on him. Adam agreed, quipping, “It does smell of him.”

When it came time for Adam’s comments, he noted that, because of the song choice, he can hear “Blake’s ridicule from Oklahoma” for choosing a pop song for his country artist. Ultimately, Adam was impressed with how Trevon handled the situation and named him the winner of the battle.

Adam Levine paired Trevon Dawson and Tyler Kae together to sing Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You.” While Trevor is a country artist, Adam assured him that a good song is a good song and can fit into his voice. Adam, meanwhile, praised indie artist Tyler’s “ethereal” voice.

When Team Bublé’s Dimitrius Graham walked into rehearsals for his battle with Divighn, he saw advisor Cynthia Erivo there. He went on to emotionally reveal that he has a history with the Wicked star.

“I met Cynthia a while ago,” he said. “I was gigging in LA. There was this time when I was in a super dark place. I was having troubles with just loving myself, just accepting my sexuality. I would just write Cynthia. Her just responding, being loving, caring really saved my life.”
