This Server Was Having a “Really Tough Week,” So HARDY Invited Him To Hang Backstage at His Iowa Show

While most fans can remember their first concert, getting the chance to share the stage with their favorite artists is a dream come true. For most, the idea of standing alongside a singer will be nothing but a wish. But when HARDY rolled into Monticello, Iowa, for the Great Jones County Fair, he met a server who had no idea he was waiting on the country singer. Wanting to offer the server more than a tip, the country singer decided to invite him to his concert to hang out backstage.

When wanting to gain backstage access to a concert, fans are more than willing to pay thousands of dollars. Yet, HARDY simply gifted it to a fan. The entire moment happened when the singer heard his server was having a difficult week. Sharing the moment on TikTok, HARDY said, “We just happened to overhear it. He’s a really nice guy. You can tell he’s a metalhead.”

With the server having no idea that he was waiting on HARDY, he even asked if they were traveling to see the concert. That’s when the singer had a wonderful idea, telling fans, “I’m going to ask him if he wants to come backstage and hang out with us before the show, watch the whole show from side stage. Maybe bring us the flag. So hopefully he’s available tonight and we’ll make it happen.”

HARDY’s Invitation To Server Almost Thwarted By Security

After revealing his true identity to the server, who was visibly shocked, HARDY followed through with his invite. The rest of the video showed the server hanging out with the singer and even getting the chance to walk out on stage, offering HARDY the American Flag. Standing with HARDY under the lights, the server shared a hug with the singer as thousands of fans cheered. Truly a special moment for the fan—it seemed that their server’s week instantly got better. 

Although a memorable night, another fan suggested it almost didn’t happen after security wouldn’t let him backstage. “No way I actually saw this dude tryna get in thru a different way in his van saying to a cop ‘Hardy told me to go this way!!’ Of course the d–khead cop didn’t believe him and made him go on his way. Glad he made it through!”

Even with the small mishap, it all worked out. And for the server, he will never forget the moment he served HARDY.
