If you’ve ever been a touring musician – or a touring anything, really – you’ll be able to identify with photographer/songwriter extraordinaire Joshua Black Wilkins‘ song “Late Night Talks.” The track explores the not-so-glamorous parts of living out of a suitcase and being on the road.
“The song was written in a Travelodge Motel room in Newport, Kentucky, while on tour several years ago,” says Wilkins. “The song stabs at the isolation of being away from home and the disconnect from family and relationships. Motel rooms become our single-serve homes.”
