Author’s Notes: “In terms of songwriting, it was a visual process,” she says. “I saw the song in images first, then wrote it down. In production I leaned towards a minimal and current sounding arrangement, since melodically it sounded traditional to me. It’s always fun mixing the opposites, but only when the song calls for it.”
