Will Moseley has barely taken a break since earning second place on American Idol. In the 10 months since he was named runner up to Abi Carter, Moseley has been hard at work.

During his Idol run, Moseley was beloved for his country takes on songs. He performed tracks including “(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay,” “Rolling in the Deep,” and “It’s My Life.” On the season 22 finale of Idol, Mosely performed his single, “Good Book Bad.” That performance gave fans their first peek at his post-show plans.
After a whirlwind press tour, Moseley performed with Zac Brown and played at CMA Fest.
“I’ve been on the road for a month straight, doing everything from fishing, to playing shows, and even recorded a little music,” he wrote on Instagram. “I think y’all will enjoy what’s on the way!”

He went on to release an acoustic version of “Whiskey and You” and perform at Freedom Fest. He also put out tracks titled “I Don’t Want to Fight No More” and “Everything But Me.”
Speaking to a local Savannah, Georgia, news station, Moseley discussed “Everything But Me.”
“We wanted to put a fun spin to it and so we mixed somewhere between like Willie Nelson and almost like a Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson vibe in there,” he said. “We put the horns and all the things and we wanted it to sound fun and be funny, but, at the same time, it tells a legitimate story.”
After posting covers of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” Moseley closed out 2024 by hitting the road with Colin Stough and opening Zac Brown Band’s New Year’s Eve show.
“It’s been super exciting,” Moseley told the outlet of his post-Idol life on the road. “It’s been nothing short of a blessing for us. It’s been a dream come true. The crazy part is it was a dream that didn’t even exist five years ago. It’s all so new to me.”
In 2025, Moseley has been posting covers, teasing new music, and playing shows. In February, he headed off on tour, supporting acts including Clint Black, Brantley Gilbert, and Marshall Tucker Band.
Moseley also revealed that he’s recorded several new music videos, though none of them have been released as of yet.
