Bryan Olesen Is Back With VOTA

Many viewers of The Voice did a double take when Bryan Olesen took the stage for his blind audition OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out.” And it wasn’t only because of his stunning vocals. The third-place finalist was already well known among the Christian rock scene.

Olesen joined Australian Christian rock outfit the Newsboys in February 2004, replacing guitarist Jody Davis. He remained the band’s lead guitarist and background vocalist until January 2006, when he left to focus on his other band, VOTA. Olesen helped found VOTA, initially known as Casting Pearls, in 1997.

On Sept. 8, Olesen shared a carousel of photos and clips from VOTA’s show at St. Mark’s Church in his hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. “Thank you all for coming out and helping us raise thousands of dollars for Love Justice International,” the former youth minister wrote in the caption. “We love using music to connect people that need help with people that can help.”

Nathan Chester Is Still Delighting Cruise Ship Travelers

Prior to placing fourth on The Voice, Nathan Chester found work as a cruise ship headliner. It seems that he has returned to that line of work, recently announcing on social media a series of shows with fiancee Emily Viancourt.

Oh yeah—he also got engaged in August.

Will ‘The Voice’ Season 25 Finalists Hit the Road Together?

Since wrapping up The Voice, Bryan Olesen has hinted that he and Nathan Chester may be planning a joint tour. Back in June, Chester joined his Team Legend teammate at the Bourbon Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska, for Olesen’s homecoming concert.

The pair reunited again in August for an intimate experience with 10 special guests in Chicago.
