The festival was full of bluegrass, folk, and Americana artists from all over, but Zach Bryan was not on the lineup. It seems that he was just in the area and decided to make an impromptu appearance. Additionally, it looks like he’s a big fan of Trampled by Turtles as well.

“This is one of the best bands in the world,” he said of Trampled by Turtles, who began headlining Flannel Jam in 2019 according to a report from Mass Live. Bryan shared that he’s been listening to the band since he was 18. They played a few songs together, including Bryan’s own “Revival.” He then raised a beer to the crowd, saying “Cheers guys, we love you.”

All said and done, a pretty special performance for Zach Bryan fans in attendance, and for Zach Bryan himself, who got to play with one of his alleged favorite bands.

Zach Bryan is Taking Himself Out of the GRAMMY Running

Zach Bryan recently revealed that he’s not putting himself up for 2025 GRAMMY consideration. For Bryan, sources shared that he finds award shows “uncomfortable,” according to a report from Variety. Most likely, his career won’t suffer for the lack of GRAMMYs, though. His fans are loyal and steadfast and will stick by his decision.

While Bryan has not explicitly confirmed his stance, sources close to the artist told Variety that he is uncomfortable with the competitive aspect of award shows. Judging by his past musical offerings, he may prefer to stick to the artistry of music instead of the accolades. He joins a select few other performers who have chosen not to submit their work for GRAMMY consideration.

The Weeknd and Drake are not up for consideration either. Additionally, Eminem, Ariana Grande, 50 Cent, and Jay-Z—who publicly called out the GRAMMYs on his wife’s behalf this year—have boycotted next year’s award show as well.
