While those groups’ names are still recognizable all these years later, some very popular groups of the era faded into the background as time went on.

Keep reading for three forgotten girl groups of the ’90s.

B*Witched

Edele Lynch, Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou, and Sinéad O’Carroll made up the Irish girl group B*Witched. Their debut single, “C’est La Vie,” is also their best-known track. The song went No. 1 in the U.K. and made it to the top 10 of the charts in the US.

Subsequent singles from the group included “Rollercoaster,” “To You I Belong,” and “Blame It on the Weatherman.” They went on to open for *NSYNC on their tour and release a second album, before breaking up in 2002.

A decade later, the group reunited for the British series The Big Reunion, alongside six other bands. Afterwards, the groups set off on a tour together. Eventually, B*Witched decided to release new music. Their EP, Champagne or Guinness, came out in 2014. In the years since, the group released two new singles, started a podcast, and put out an EP, Ripped Jeans.

En Vogue

En Vogue was formed in 1989 with members Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones. Their debut single “Hold On” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Their sophomore album, Funky Divas, was also a success, specifically the track “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It).” On EV3, their song “Don’t Let Go (Love)” also hit No. 2.

Group members started departing the band in 1997 and their success stalled as a result. Brief reunions took place in 2005 and 2009, but the girl group never again found its groove.

Nobody’s Angel

Alitzah Navarro, Stacey Harper, Amy Sue Hardy, and Sarah Smith formed Nobody’s Angel in the late ’90s. Their song “Let’s Get Together,” appeared on The Parent Trap soundtrack. Nobody’s Angel self-titled debut album included the hit song “If You Wanna Dance.”

The girl group also recorded the track “Pokémon World” with the boy band Youngstown for the movie Pokémon The Movie. The ladies even appeared in the Justin Timberlake movie Model Behavior, before Harper and Hardy departed the band.

Jennie Kwan and Tai-Amber Hoo slotted into the group, and the band went on to record songs for movies including 102 Dalmatians and The Princess Diaries. Their planned second album never came out, and the group never reunited.
