Country music serves many purposes, but soundtracking a wild girls’ night out is our favorite. If you’ve ever been to the bars lining Nashville’s Broadway, you’ll be familiar with the picture of girls, decked out in boots, singing country songs. There’s nothing quite as unifying as screaming along to your favorites alongside your best friends. The four country songs below are perfect for your girls’ night out playlist.
“I CAN’T HELP MYSELF” (Kelsea Ballerini)
Kelsea Ballerini gets a call from the girls she can’t turn down in “I CAN’T HELP MYSELF.” It’s the weekend, the wine is coming off of the shelf, and her friends are ready to hit the town. How could she refuse? Against her and her therapist’s better judgment, Ballerini revels in all that a girl’s night has to offer. I try to be an angel, then the whole thing goes to hell, she sings in this irreverently fun track.

“Shoot Tequila” (Tigirlily Gold)
There’s nothing better than a country song with a clever play-on-words. Tigirlilly Gold delivered that with “Shoot Tequila.” As the title suggests, this duo is hitting the town, bottle in tow. They personify tequila in this country song, blaming the beverage for their rowdy girls’ night out. I know I shouldn’t do it / But I don’t remember why / Such a bad influence, but you’re looking good tonight, they sing in the chorus.
“Before He Cheats” (Carrie Underwood)
Though it might be a little cliche, we couldn’t make this list without including Carrie Underwood’s classic track, “Before He Cheats.” There’s strong evidence to insist that this song has been belted at the top of more girl groups’ lungs than any other. A girls’ night doesn’t always have to be a celebration. It can also be a commiseration. If you find yourself in that sad camp, there really is only one song to turn to.
“You’re Drunk, Go Home” (Kelsea Ballerini, Kelly Clarkson, and Carly Pearce)
Circling back around to Kelsea Ballerini, the lyrics to “You’re Drunk, Go Home” will be familiar to most girl groups. They are all acquainted with nagging from their male counterparts. If you’ve just about had enough with propositioning, this song is a shoo-in for your playlist. You’re drunk, go home / If you’re tryna hook up, gotta do it alone, the chorus reads.
