Lainey Wilson is partnering with one of her favorite brands. This week, Whataburger announced that it’s tapped the country superstar to be its brand ambassador amid the fast food chain’s 75th Anniversary celebration.

“I’ve been rolling through Whataburger drive-thrus since I was just a small-town girl in Louisiana with big dreams,” Wilson said in a press release. “From grabbing Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits with my daddy between horse sales and rodeos to late-night stops on the road playing honky-tonks—Whataburger’s been part of my story every step of the way.”
To celebrate the collaboration, Whataburger gave fans a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit the morning of Jan. 28. The free item was a nod to Wilson’s favorite post-show snack, the restaurant said.
However, if you missed out on the offer, there’s no need to fret. There is plenty more fun in store. Wilson’s collab with the restaurant will last the entirety of 2025. Throughout the year, fans can look forward to a fresh advertising campaign, unique exclusive content, special offers, and surprise appearances.
“Lainey Wilson embodies all that we love about our brand. She is genuine, daring and dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences to fans,” Debbie Stroud, president and chief executive officer at Whataburger, said. “Our partnership with Lainey Wilson unites two brands committed to serving up Goodness 24/7 with a side of Texas hospitality, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve got cooking throughout the year. Hang tight, there’s more to come!”
Lainey Wilson’s Year Ahead
Wilson, who released her latest album, Whirlwind, in August, has a big year ahead. She started off the year by performing during CBS’ New Year’s Eve show.
“Is this what they call ‘ah ringin” and ah singin’?’” she wrote on Instagram after the show. “The best way to ring in the New Year is with some country music.”
Next up is the GRAMMY Awards, where Wilson is nominated for Best Country Album. Previously, she’s been nominated for two GRAMMYs, though she’s yet to win.
Finally, the singer will hit the road in March, where she’ll tour throughout Europe. She’ll be back stateside by May, and play several music festivals over the summer.
