It’s not out of the question that two iconic bands could team up for an epic tour. In a new interview, the Backstreet Boys addressed fans’ hope that they’d one day tour with *NSYNC.

“They haven’t done something in over 22 years,” AJ McLean told E! News of *NSYNC’s tour schedule. “We’re gonna keep doing what we do. No one knows what the future holds. We’ll see what happens.”
Though *NSYNC last toured in 2002, Chris Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez haven’t been strangers since then.
In 2023, *NSYNC presented an award together at the MTV VMAs. Shortly thereafter, the group revealed that they recorded a new song, “Better Place,” for the film Trolls Band Together. The following year, *NSYNC performed together at Timberlake’s One Night Only concert in Los Angeles, debuting a new song, “Paradise,” at the show.
Backstreet Boys’ Big 2025
While boy band fans everywhere cross their fingers for a potential collab in the future, BSB has plenty of big things coming up.
McLean, along with bandmates Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell ,and Kevin Richardson, will soon take the stage for an upcoming residency at Sphere Las Vegas. During their time in Sin City, the group will perform the entirety of their 1999 album, Millennium.
“We’re honored,” Carter told the outlet of BSB’s latest gig. “We are the first pop band ever perform at this incredible venue.”
In a separate interview with People, Dorough further discussed the upcoming shows.
“I mean, it’s a comeback on the next level. You can’t get any bigger than the Sphere,” he said. “We’re bringing a rebirth to a record that we released years ago and taking our fans, some that have either seen some of the show back in the days, or some that weren’t even probably born yet that are seeing it for the first time. We’re very blessed to be able to go back to Vegas too in this style—larger than life!”
There’s new BSB music on the way too. On July 11, the group will release a revamped version of their landmark 1999 album titled Millennium 2.0. It will include the song “Hey!” which was initially recorded for their 2019 album, but didn’t make the cut at time.
“The song is great,” McLean told People. “Everybody sounds incredible, so we’re just waiting for the right moment for the world to hear this song—and this just happens to be that moment.”
