“Early Father’s Day Pic”: Zach Top and Alan Jackson Are Never “Beating the Father-Son Allegations” With This Uncanny Photo

While it’s easy to see how Zach Top is on a path to becoming this generation’s Alan Jackson, one Canadian radio station took it a step further. Pointing out some unlikely parallels between the two, 93.7 JR Country presented the case that Top, 27, is in fact the “Chattahoochee” crooner’s illegitimate son. While highly unlikely, few can resist a good conspiracy theory—not even Top himself. The “Sounds Like the Radio” singer has publicly poked fun at the rumor several times, most recently with a picture of the alleged father-son duo posted to social media.

Zach Top Just Shared This Picture With Alan Jackson

After nearly 40 years, Alan Jackson is finally hanging it up, and the 16-time CMA Award winner has enlisted Zach Top’s help to bid farewell. Jackson had five stops scheduled on his 2025 Last Call: One More for the Road Tour, and Top is the opening act for four of them.

Having already appeared at two shows, the “I Never Lie” singer will again join Jackson, 66, at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. Ahead of the Saturday (April 26) show, Top shared a picture of himself alongside his hero to social media. And we gotta admit, the resemblance is striking.

“Excited to be back out on the road this weekend with the man Alan Jackson!” Top captioned the photo on Wednesday (April 23.)

Quipped one Instagram user, “That’s a long way to say “my father.’”

Others chimed in with, “Not beating the father-son allegations,” “Early Father’s Day pic,” and, “Family photo.”

A Closer Look at the Conspiracy

According to radio host Docc Andrews’ tongue-in-cheek theory, Zach Top doesn’t need to try too hard to emulate Alan Jackson’s ’90s country sound.

Outlining his hypothesis, Andrews pointed out that Jackson played a show in Tacoma, Washington, in November 1996—roughly nine months before Top was born three hours away in Sunnyside.

“Have you seen Zach Top’s face? His moustache? His sound?” Andrews said. “Zach Top is Alan Jackson’s son. Prove me wrong.”

Rather than prove him wrong, Top fully leaned into the internet conspiracy.

“Oh, it’s more than a rumor,” the ACM New Male Artist of the Year nominee joked on Audacy’s Rob and Holly. “Hell, I’ve been trying to figure out what the answer is. My parents won’t answer me straight. Nobody will.”
