For many artists, the idea of releasing an album can easily become a tedious process that must be meticulously planned. But not all artists are Zach Bryan. Moving his way through country music on his own terms, the singer once released his new song “Blue Jean Baby” on a bet. The bet – if the Philadelphia Eagles won the 2025 NFC Championship. Spoiler, they won. Keeping to his word, Bryan released the song. But now, the country singer found himself inking a deal with Warner Records for at least two albums.

Working on finalizing a deal with Warner Records, Variety reported that the rising star also moved to sell his publishing catalog for a whopping $350 million. Not a bad payday for a singer who has spent less than a decade in country music. But, at the same time, he produced songs like “Something in the Orange”, “Revival”, and “I Remember Everything.” As for the company writing the check for millions, Merrit Group believed the price was a good deal.
Apparently, Merrit Group wasn’t the only one looking to snag a piece of Bryan as Universal Music also sought to bring Bryan to their side. But with the singer making a deal with Warner Music, they will have to wait for him to release two more albums. After that, the future was uncertain as Bryan wanted to explore different avenues.
Zach Bryan Explores New Avenue With ‘Motorbreath’
Bryan teased about his last major studio album when he revealed his new film Motorbreath. Centered around Bryan hitting the road with a group of friends to record, he said, “This is not a film about a band, this is a film about a boy from Oklahoma. A boy who joined the Navy, with a love of writing. That writing connected with people, a lot of people. This film is about a group of best friends taking a two-week motorcycle ride across America, while recording one final major label album. Oh, and the title of the film you ask? ‘Motorbreath.’”
Showing just how massive the Bryan sale was, just a few days ago, Morgan Wallen watched Big Loud sell a minority stake in his music catalog for a staggering $200 million. At the time, a representative revealed the buyer to be Chord Music Partner.
With Wallen also producing a booming career in country music, it seemed that new artists were getting a hefty price for their talents.
