The first time many people saw Gavin Adcock, the Georgia Southern University nose tackle was chugging a beer atop a moving bus en route to a football game. He was booted from the team, but later kickstarted his country music career with his first single, “Ain’t No Cure.” The 26-year-old Georgia native has since released two albums, 2023’s Bonfire Blackout and 2024’s Actin’ Up Again. What’s more, the same rowdy behavior that ended his collegiate career is seemingly fueling his country music one. Recently, the “Four Leaf Clover” crooner announced plans to promote his third studio album in true Gavin Adcock fashion.

Gavin Adcock Is Throwing a Party, And You’re Invited
Some artists drum up excitement for new music with exclusive album release parties. Gavin Adcock is doing… pretty much the opposite of that as he gears up to drop Own Worst Enemy on Aug. 15.
“So my team asked me how I wanted to promote this new album, and I just told them, ‘Let’s just have the biggest boat party that Tennessee has ever seen,’” the country singer said Wednesday (Aug. 6) in a video posted to TikTok. “We’ll get some speakers out there. We’ll blast the album to everybody before it’s out.”
Proving he isn’t all talk, Adcock provided details for the event. For an early look at the new album, show up to Old Hickory Lake at Two Foot Cove in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, next Sunday, Aug. 10.
“We’re going to be out there at 1 p.m. blasting Own Worst Enemy,” he promised.
Many expressed incredulity in the comments. “Seriously? If this is my invite I’ll be there,” one fan wrote on TikTok.
“Can’t get a better more clear invite than this people !!” added another. “You’re either in our your out what ya gonna do !”
Last month, Adcock shared the 22-song tracklist for Own Worst Enemy, which includes the already-released songs “Last One To Know,” “Loose Strings,” “Need To,” “Unlucky Strikes,” “Never Call Again,” “On One,” “Morning Bail,” and “Almost Gone.” His next single, “Turn Down the Lights,” drops Friday, Aug. 8, a week ahead of the album’s release.
