Zach Top Takes Part in Hilarious Gender Reveal During West Virginia Show: “I Messed That Up”

While most couples enjoy announcing their baby’s gender with family and friends, the event has taken on a whole new meaning in recent years. Taking a gender reveal to the extreme, couples have used smoke, skydiving, planes, explosions, and even wrestling to celebrate the moment. With social media shining a light on these wild ideas, one couple decided to keep it simple when they asked country singer Zach Top to help them announce the gender. More than happy to do it, Top accidentally shared the news with everybody but himself.

Taking the stage at the West Virginia State Fair, Top offered the sold-out crowd a night full of hit songs like “Good Times & Tan Lines.” And speaking of good times, during the show, the singer noticed a couple holding up a sign. Getting a closer look, he learned they wanted him to reveal the gender of their baby. Not only wanting to share the moment with family, the couple believed revealing it to thousands of Top fans was the best idea.

Taking the paper from them, Top started to reveal the gender when the page was blank. Somewhat confused, the singer flipped it over to see the gender on the back. Showing the answer to the entire crowd, he said, “I messed that up. If you didn’t see it… IT’S A GIRL. Congratulations, Kelsey and Dalton, you’re having a baby girl!”  With the crowd and Top excited for the couple, they will definitely share the special moment with their child in the future.

Zach Top’s Mom Not A Fan Of “Cussing”

Outside of Top’s little mishap, the crowd took the moment to share not love but hate for Pittsburgh. With the concert taking place in West Virginia, a great deal of fans happened to be supporters of the Mountaineers. Helping create what is known as the Backyard Brawl with the college football team the University of Pittsburgh Panthers, the game quickly became a rivalry.

Although the Panthers hold the most wins in the series with 63-41, that didn’t stop the crowd from chanting “Eat S*** Pitt.” While understanding the statement, Top decided not to join in. And the reason why – “My mom doesn’t like it when I cuss on stage, so I’ll leave the cussing to you.”
