The nominations for the 2022 American Music Awards were revealed with Bad Bunny taking the lead with eight nominations. Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Drake follow Bad Bunny with six nominations each, along with Adele, Harry Styles, and The Weeknd, who each received five nominations.

In addition to a nomination for Artist of the Year, Bad Bunny is also nominated for Favorite Male Pop Artist, Favorite Pop Album, Favorite Male Latin Artist, Favorite Latin Album, Favorite Latin Song, Favorite Touring Artist, and Favorite Music Video. If Bad Bunny wins in all eight categories, he will tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most awards received in one year.
Swift and Beyoncé will face off in three categories, including Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Album, and Favorite Female Pop Artist.
Additional nominees include Elton John, who was nominated for Favorite Touring Artist and Collaboration of the Year, the latter nom for his recent duet with Britney Spears “Hold Me Closer,” making him the longest-recognized artist in AMA history.
First-time nominees include Latto, BLACKPINK, Anitta, Swedish House Mafia, Tems, and Jack Harlow, while new categories at the 2022 AMAs feature Favorite K-Pop Artist, Favorite Afrobeats Artist, and Favorite Rock Album.
The 2022 AMAs will air live on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 20.
