The months of May and June have been awfully hot for Bruce Springsteen. In May of 2025, Bruce Springsteen made headlines by making comments about Donald Trump while on stage in Europe. Also, Springsteen will release Tracks II: The Lost Albums, a box set consisting of seven previously unreleased albums, next week. Now, in light of that news, he recently acknowledged that Tracks III is already completed and will feature five more albums. Lastly, on Wednesday, June 18, the Bruce Springsteen biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, released its trailer.

Despite this abundance of news, Bruce Springsteen continues to grace headlines, as The Boss just recently confirmed that an electric album of his iconic Nebraska does, in fact, exist. Released in 1982, Springsteen’s Nebraska has been a fan favorite ever since it started gracing the airwaves.
Consequently, fans have seemingly always wondered if Springsteen ever recorded an electric version of the album. Well, he did, and Springsteen confirmed the existence of the album in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
Bruce Springsteen Completely Forgot About the Electric Version of ‘Nebraska’
After the publication asked Springsteen about the electric version of Nebraska, he simply replied, “Well, I can tell you right now, it doesn’t exist.” “We tried to do a few songs with the band for a few minor electric versions of Nebraska, maybe something else, I’m not sure. But that record simply doesn’t exist. There is no electric Nebraska outside of what you hear us performing onstage,” added Springsteen.
However, according to the RS piece, a month after the interview, Bruce Springsteen contacted writer Andy Greene to correct himself. Springsteen stated in his correspondence, “Hey Andy! Bruce Springsteen here. Just wanted to give you a heads-up. I checked our vault and there IS an electric Nebraska record, though it does not have the full album of songs. All best, Bruce.”
In addition to revealing that bombshell news, Springsteen also divulged that he has another album, without the E-Street Band, currently ready to be released. Springsteen stated that he expects this solo body of work to be released in 2026. Needless to say, Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen is busy.
