Christmas at the Opry aired tonight, December 16, on NBC, and the show was full of amazing guests and performances. Hosted by Little Big Town, the band also performed from their new holiday album, The Christmas Record, to help celebrate the season.

During the show, Little Big Town members Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman took the Opry stage with Kelsea Ballerini and Kate Hudson. Dressed in Santa-inspired dresses and thigh-high boots, the four women performed a rendition of “Santa Baby” made famous by Eartha Kitt.
In a preview clip on TikTok, fans left comments sharing their excitement for the performance. One person was thrilled to see Kate Hudson and Kelsea Ballerini together on stage, while others expressed surprise at Hudson’s vocals. “How did I not know that Kate Hudson can sing???” one person wrote.
Other fans even joked about their outfits, with one writing, “It’s giving Mean Girls vibes.” Another commented, “Telling my kids this was Mean Girls 2,” while yet another fan wrote, “This is so fetch.”
Kate Hudson, Kelsea Ballerini, and Little Big Town Shine During “Santa Baby” Performance
Kate Hudson also took the Opry stage during the special to perform an upbeat rendition of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” She showcased her vocals with elaborate runs, as well as belting a few notes to give herself a challenge. It all paid off, though, as her rendition of the holiday classic feels new and inspired.
Further performances include Josh Groban along with Little Big Town, Dan + Shay performing from their new Christmas album It’s Officially Christmas, Little Big Town performing from their new album The Christmas Record, along with Sheryl Crow, Orville Peck, and Kirk Franklin. Kelsea Ballerini took the stage solo to perform “White Christmas” as well.
Previously, at the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting, Little Big Town took their own spin on “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” The group stunned with a joyful performance of the classic holiday hit that had fans expressing their love on social media. “This is absolutely amazing. It is absolutely beautiful,” one person wrote. It seems that Little Big Town is fully in the Christmas spirit this year, celebrating in one big way after another.
