Eric Church’s Nashville Bar Continues To Cash In on Morgan Wallen’s Infamous Chair-Throwing Incident

Although expanding his grasp on country music, Morgan Wallen found himself making headlines last year for more than his talents on the stage. Visiting Eric Church’s bar Chief’s, the country singer appeared to have a little too much fun when he decided to toss a chair off the roof of the bar. Unknowingly at the time, the chair landed by two Nashville police officers who quickly looked for the person behind the incident. After pointing him out, the officers took Wallen into custody. While navigating his way through the legal system, Church’s bar decided to commemorate the incident with a special drink.

Besides the home of country music, Nashville offered visitors a nightlife that was full of great music, strong drinks, and more than enough bars. And finding his way to the Nashville streets, Wallen ended up in the Davidson County court last December. Although coming to an agreement with the judge, the memory of Wallen’s incident will live on thanks to a new drink called “The Chair.”

Coming packed with raspberry liqueur and vodka, lemonade, and a hint of soda, the drink also offered a tiny chair. With a video of the new drink surfacing online, fans appeared to love the marketing idea with comments reading, “This is a genius marketing strategy.” Another person added, “What do you do with the chair when you’re done with your drink?”

Morgan Wallen Walked Away With A Slap On The Wrist

As for Wallen, his day in court came with a sentence of 11 months and 29 days in jail. A majority of his sentence ended up suspended with the singer only having to serve seven days. And those seven days were spent at the DUI education center. He also received supervised probation.

With fans wanting to get their hands on the new drink and chair, the bar used the incident to promote the business. Shortly after Wallen ended up in custody, a sign appeared outside the bar, reading, “Our Pigs Fly, Our Chairs Don’t.”

As for Wallen, he moved past the incident, focusing on his new album and hitting the road for his 2025 I’m The Problem tour.
