When appearing on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, Ernest and Jelly Roll talked about their rise in country music and crossing milestones like performing at the Grand Ole Opry. Jelly Roll even touched on his dramatic weight loss. While the podcast seemed to fit the normal narrative, it took a curious turn when Ernest opened up about a confusing meeting with Tyler Childers. Even with host Taylor Lewan and Will Compton pushing for more details, Ernest stayed silent. At least, until he got home and jumped on Instagram.

While sharing a post about exactly what happened between himself and Childers, Ernest apparently removed the video. But thanks to the internet, nothing is lost. During the video, the country singer explained writing the song “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Chandler Walters, and Charlie Handsome. During the collaboration, Malone received a text from Childers to stop by a bar he was at.
Ernest Left At The Bar Alone As Tyler Childers “Went MIA”
Always willing to rub shoulders with other artists, Malone jumped at the chance but decided to bring some friends, Ernest and Wallen. When getting to the bar, apparently, Wallen and Malone stopped to talk to some fans while Ernest headed inside to meet Childers. “I walk in, tap Tyler on the shoulder, ‘Hey how’s it going? I’m Ernest.’ ‘Hey, Ernest, good to meet you.’ ‘Hey, the boys are right behind me, they’re coming in, He looks over, sees them, and then he leans over to his friend and says something. He goes, ‘Hey, Ernest, you wanna have a seat? I was like ‘Yeah, sure.’”
Not sharing what was on his mind, Childers simply walked away. “He gets up, gives me a seat, and then I turn around, and he walks out the other side of the bar, not to be heard from or seen again. Didn’t text Post back, none of that just. Just went MIA, but I get it. Politics.”
Although sharing what happened, fans were left with more questions than answers. Not knowing why Childers decided to leave before Malone and Wallen walked in, Ernest shared his love for the singer, writing, “Still love u Timmy Ty Childers. Let’s be clear… I respect it.”
