Fleetwood Mac Legend Assaulted in Santa Monica

For any fan of Fleetwood Mac’s hit songs like “Tusk” and “Big Love”, they have Lindsey Buckingham to thank. Although a famed musician and once the lead guitarist for Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham was also a talented songwriter and singer. After departing the group, he produced several solo albums. While a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the hitmaker recently made headlines after he was attacked in Santa Monica.

At the time of the attack, Buckingham was on his way to an appointment. The musician had no idea that a woman, named Michelle Dick, was waiting for him. When he made it to the facility, the individual ran up to Buckingham and threw a mysterious substance on him and ran away. 

Calling law enforcement, the police quickly responded. Thankfully, police were able to identify Dick. Shockingly, this wasn’t the first time that Buckingham had an altercation with the person. Although police located the individual, no warrant for her arrest has been filed at this time. But with both the Santa Monica Police and the LAPD investigating, an arrest is expected to be made soon.

Suspect Makes Shocking Claim About Lindsey Buckingham

According to documents, Dick has routinely stalked not just Buckingham but also his family. She sent threatening messages to his wife, son, and daughter. This led to the family getting a restraining order against her. 

Although Buckingham remains silent on the attack, Dick spoke with KTLA about her ongoing fascination with the musician. More than a fan, she insisted that Buckingham was her father. “I didn’t know I had a restraining order on me. He wasn’t a father to me but he’s my birth father.”

Dick told KTLA that she currently lives in her car and has struggled for years to find stability. During the interview, she continued to make claims about her connection to Buckingham, though authorities have found no evidence to support them.

For now, Buckingham has remained out of the public eye following the incident. Meanwhile, authorities continue to work on the case and discuss the possibility of charging Dick.
