With the 2025 Grammy Awards scheduled to air tonight, the music industry took over Los Angeles to celebrate stars like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. Although a presenter for the evening, Swift also looked to add to her massive stardom. Nominated for six Grammy Awards, the hitmaker hoped to win record, album, and song of the year for The Tortured Poets Department. While Swift has some stiff competition, it seems that her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, won’t be attending and the reasoning makes sense.

Although the Grammys are only a few hours away, the Kansas City Chiefs remained focused on football given the Super Bowl is on February 9th. Having defeated the Buffalo Bills, the Chiefs yet again find themselves on the cusp of making history. And with such a big game ahead of them, it seemed that Kelce is hard a work, practicing and preparing for the matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Not only are the Chiefs up for another Super Bowl, if the team wins, they will be the first NFL team to clinch three consecutive rings. Given how much is on the line, all the players are staying focused on the matchup ahead. And on the other side of the field, the Eagles hope to rewrite the past and this time – walk away Super Bowl champions.
Travis Kelce Wishes He Could Support Taylor Swift
With 2025 not the first year Kelce needed to skip the Grammy Awards due to the Super Bowl, he opened up about how much he missed celebrating with Swift. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, the tight end said, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for. Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl we got in a week.”
While Kelce hoped to add his name to NFL history, don’t miss the 2025 Grammy Awards, scheduled to air tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. And for those without cable, they can tune in to Paramount+ for exclusive red-carpet content. The Recording Academy will also offer fans interviews surrounding the Grammys at live.GRAMMY.com.
