Having spent only a few years in country music, Megan Moroney wasted no time making a name for herself when releasing albums like Lucky and Am I Okay?. Due to the power of the internet, Moroney first gained stardom thanks to online streaming. She was also the voice behind the hit song “Tennessee Orange.” Just getting started when it comes to her career in country music, Moroney recently offered a powerful performance of Kenny Chesney’s hit “Knowing You.”

Sharing a video of herself on TikTok, Moroney did away with the glitz and glamour of a stage. With nothing more than a guitar and a room with nice acoustics, the singer produced a simple, yet elegant cover of “Knowing You.” She even captioned the post, writing, “One of my fav KC songs.”
Gaining thousands of views, fans loved the performance from Moroney, writing, “I’m convinced a Megan and Kenny song would change live (mostly mine).” Another person added, “You are my daughter’s whole world right now. And girl, this mama is HERE for it! We saw you in OKC and screamed every damn song together.”

Kenny Chesney Excited To Watch Megan Moroney Expand Her Career
Although receiving high praise from fans, Moroney also caught the eye of Chesney. Having formed a friendship over the last year, Chesney loved the singer’s approach to country music. “She’s really good, and you know what’s crazy, is that Megan and I didn’t know each other this time last year, and we’ve both had conversations after touring with each other this summer, and I can’t imagine us not knowing each other now. That’s how crazy that is.”
Excited about what the future held for Moroney, Chesney also noted her growing fanbase. “She was so great out there…and she’s building her own beautiful, wonderful audience, and that’s exciting to watch. The amount of people coming to her own shows now, and the way she’s presenting herself, I don’t know, I think she has the opportunity to do exactly what she’s saying.”
While just getting her footing in country music, it seemed the future was wide open for Moroney to leave her mark in the music industry.
