Both unlikely candidates on the surface, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey embody a moment in country music. The genre-bending stars have each found crossover success with songs like “Save Me” and “A Bar Song (Tipsy.)” Rather than seeing one another as competition, Jelly Roll welcomed Shaboozey onstage during his Beautifully Broken tour. Now, the two are teaming up for a duet out this Friday—and the only question we have is, “What took so long?”
Deluxe Shaboozey Album Features Appearances From Jelly Roll, Sierra Ferrell
Taking to social media Wednesday (April 23), Shaboozey (born Collins Obinna Chibueze) shared a snippet of his upcoming Jelly Roll collab, “Amen,” out this Friday, April 25.

In the video, the two breakout stars dance awkwardly side-by-side in a grassy area as they sing, Somebody say a prayer for me / ‘Cause the pills ran out and I still can’t sleep / Somebody send a word upstairs / ‘Cause the bar shut down and I’m God knows where.
From this sneak peek, we can see that the song offers everything we love about both Jelly Roll and Shaboozey: catchy rhythms, an uplifting message, and lots of fun.
“Look how happy jelly looks,” one Instagram user wrote. “Love this guy!! This is a banger.”
“Amen” will appear on Shaboozey’s deluxe version of his breakthrough album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. Due out Friday (April 25), the record contains six brand-new tracks, including the Sierra Ferrell collab “Hail Mary” and “Blink Twice” with Myles Smith.
Originally released on May 31, 2024, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart.
“Something About Him That Makes You Just Happy He’s There”
Even before Shaboozey, 29, went viral with his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Jelly Roll knew he was something special. The Grammy nominee, 40, praised Shaboozey’s “innovative” and “honest” nature in an October 2024 piece for Time magazine.
“He’s charismatic, and charming in a way that’s real. There’s something about him that makes you just happy he’s there,” wrote Jelly, born Jason DeFord. “As a native Nashvillian, I’m proud to have Shaboozey represent country music.”
