In recent weeks, Neil Young teased that he would be hitting the road this year with his current backing group The Chrome Hearts. Now, the folk-rock legend has unveiled official details about the trek.

The outing is called the “love earth” world tour, and will kick off with a series of European concerts in June and July. Those shows will be followed by a North American leg visiting the U.S. and Canada in August and September.
The European portion of the tour kicks off June 18 in Rättvik, Sweden, and is scheduled through a July 8 concert in Stuttgart, Germany. According to a statement on NeilYoungArchives.com, the trek will include shows in the U.K., although none have been announced yet.
The North American leg gets underway August 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and winds down September 15 in Los Angeles.
So far, 24 total dates for the trek have been confirmed, but more will be added soon.
Tickets for the tour dates will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 28. Annual Neil Young Archives members will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, February 25, at 10 a.m. local time for most of the shows. More information about how to buy pre-sale tickets is available at NeilYoungArchives.com.

Incidentally, as with the title of the tour and Young’s recent single, “big change,” Neil and his band are stylizing their monikers with all lowercase letters—that is, neil young and the chrome hearts.
More About the Love Earth Tour and Young’s Band
The love earth tour will feature young and the chrome hearts playing a mix of old and new songs. As previously reported, the band features veteran Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section keyboardist Spooner Oldham, guitarist Micah Nelson, and two members of Promise of the Real—bassist Corey McCormick and drummer Anthony LoGerfo on drums.
Promise of the Real, which is led by Willie Nelson’s son (and Micah’s brother) Lukas Nelson, served as Young’s backing band for multiple tours and albums during the 2010s. Micah also took part in those same projects. In addition, Micah joined Crazy Horse’s lineup for Neil’s 2024 tour with that band.
Young first performed with the chrome hearts at a trio of concerts in September 2024.
Neil released his first song with the chrome hearts, the politically charged “big change,” in January 2024. The track is the first single from an upcoming album Young recorded with the band that he’s co-producing with legendary producer Lou Adler.
For the love earth tour, Young is partnering with the Farm Aid organization to offer HOMEGROWN Concessions at the shows. HOMEGROWN Concessions sells food with ingredients produced sustainably at family farms, with meals served on compostable dishes and containers. Neil, of course, is a co-founder of Farm Aid.
Young’s Other Plans for 2025
Young also reported on his official website that he’ll playing a benefit show in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada, on May 23. More details will be announced soon about the concert, which will be a solo performance.
