Osbourne’s 1980 signature solo tune, “Crazy Train,” has debuted at No. 46 on the latest Billboard Hot 100. When the song was first released, it never cracked the Hot 100, although it did reach No. 9 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock tally in ’81.

Meanwhile, Ozzy’s 1991 power ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home” has reentered the Hot 100 at No. 49. When it was first released, “Mama, I’m Coming Home” peaked at No. 28 on the chart, making it Osbourne’s most successful single on the Hot 100 as a lead artist.
The Prince of Darkness appeared as a featured artist on two songs that reached No. 8 on the Hot 100. The first was his 1988 duet with Lita Ford, “Close My Eyes Forever.” The second was the 2019 Post Malone track “Take What You Want,” which featured guest appearances by Osbourne and rapper/singer Travis Scott.
Ozzy’s 2003 compilation album The Essential Ozzy Osbourne also reached a new Billboard chart milestone. It ascended to the No. 7 spot on the Billboard 200, after originally peaking at No. 81 on that chart.
In addition, Paranoid, the classic second album by Osbourne’s old band Black Sabbath, reentered the Billboard 200 at No. 37. Paranoid, which was released in 1971 on the U.S., peaked at No. 12 that year on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, The Essential Ozzy Osbourne also catapulted to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Hard Rock Albums tallies, its first time topping each of those charts.
Osbourne and Black Sabbath Songs Also Impacted Other Billboard Charts
Various songs by Osbourne and Black Sabbath have reached high positions on multiple Billboard charts. Perhaps most impressive is that the first seven positions of the latest Hot Hard Rock Songs tally are held by Osbourne or his famous band.
“Crazy Train,” “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” and “No More Tears” hold the top three spots. Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid,” “Iron Man,” and “War Pigs/Luke’s Wall” follow at Nos. 4, 5, and 6. Rounding out the chart’s top seven spots is Ozzy’s “Mr. Crowley.”
“Mama, I’m Coming Home” and “Crazy Train” also have grabbed the first two spots, respectively, on Billboard’s all-genre Digital Song Sales chart. This marks the first time Ozzy has topped that particular tally.
