While taking the stage in Manchester, England, Bruce Springsteen decided to pause the concert for a moment to discuss the current climate in America. During his speech, The Boss constantly criticized the White House administration and labeled Donald Trump an “unfit president.” He even considered his administration “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.” Following his statement, the President fired back, calling the singer “not a talented guy.” As the two went back and forth, it seemed that Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello decided to add his voice to the conversation.

For Morello, Springsteen is more than The Boss, he is a friend. Over the years, the musician performed alongside Springsteen several times. Morello didn’t find Springsteen’s comments about the White House administration all that shocking given the rocker’s past. “Bruce is going after Trump because Bruce, his whole life, he’s been about truth, justice, democracy, equality.”
Wanting to support his friend, Morello decided to hang a backdrop during his recent performance at a music festival in Boston. Taking the stage on Sunday, fans noticed a backdrop behind Morello that red “F*** Trump”—he also welcomed fans to the “last big event before they throw us all in jail.”
Tom Morello Insists Bruce Springsteen “Draws A Bigger Audience”
Making his thoughts incredibly clear, Morello offered a different take on the criticism hurled at Springsteen. He believed the President was mad at The Boss due to his massive appeal. “Trump is mad at him because Bruce draws a bigger audience. F*** that guy!”
As for the President, he continuously hurled insults at Springsteen, even labeling the singer a “dried-out prune of a rocker.” He also claimed he wasn’t talented. But the singer’s ongoing legacy in the music industry suggested otherwise.
Outside of their insults, the Republican President posted a video that showed him crushing a golf ball. But instead of the ball landing on the green, it shockingly struck Springsteen in the back, causing him to fall on stage.
While just a doctored video, it was just the latest insult to add to the ongoing feud between Trump and Springsteen. And with both parties not backing down, it is only a matter of time before they make headlines yet again.
