Rumors Suggest Timothée Chalamet Could Perform Bob Dylan Set at Glastonbury 2025

Back in December of last year, fans of Bob Dylan rushed to the theatres to see A Complete Unknown. While Dylan loved to keep his life somewhat a secret, the film took a deep dive into the icon’s life and the early years of his career. At the center of the film was actor Timothée Chalamet, who produced a stunning portrayal of the singer. But besides just acting, Chalamet spent thousands of hours learning to play just like Dylan. And apparently, he was so good that a rumor started to circulate that the actor would perform a surprise set at Glastonbury.

Again, just a rumor for now, The Sun reported that Chalamet might take the stage at Glastonbury. A surprise for those who intend on going to the festival, the surprise performance is expected to take place on Saturday, June 28th, on the Acoustic Stage. Not able to hold a great deal of people, the set could become one of the highlights of the festival if true.

For those who see Chalamet as just an actor, the star proved his ability to encompass the persona of Dylan. Not only did he perform the songs during filming, but he also channeled the singer when taking the stage on Saturday Night Live. During his time on the show, he performed “Outlaw Blues”, “Three Angels”, and “Tomorrow Is A Long Time.”

Timothée Chalamet Makes Bank With ‘A Complete Unknown’

The performance garnered high praise from Dylan fans as one person admitted, “Dude that was suuuuuch a good performance man. I would seriously love to see Timothee do like a tour run of bob dylan covers man. He sounds so good. That or he should try making his own music. Genuinely he has a great voice and I feel like it fits that genre VERY well.”

Discussing his role in A Complete Unknown, Chalamet explained how he worked tirelessly trying to capture the uniqueness of Dylan. “I had the time to put the 10,000 hours in, which in a three-month, four-month period you really can’t… There wasn’t a deadline on it. I wasn’t learning for anyone else. I was learning for myself.”

It all appeared to work out with A Complete Unknown making some hefty profits at the box office. With a budget ranging from $50 to $70 million, the film grossed $140 million. As for Chalamet, he received eight Oscar nominations for his role. Only time will tell if the rumor was true, but with the talent of Chalamet, fans might want to make their way to the Acoustic Stage on June 28th.
