Texas Rapper and His 5-Year-Old Daughter Killed in Car Wash Shooting

Continuing to mix his love for rap and Texas, the rapper sadly passed away on Monday due to a shooting at a car wash. Happening at the Slappy’s Express Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive, the shooting took not only the life of G$ Lil Ronnie but his five-year-old daughter.

With details still surfacing and investigators working the case, the police noted how two men approached the rapper at the car wash. Although G$ Lil Ronnie was with his young daughter at the time, the two men opened fire as they were in the washing bay. Quickly surrounding the area, police tirelessly worked to save the rapper and his daughter, but both were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Staying quiet about the shooting and what they found at the crime scene, police revealed they knew the identity of one of the suspects. Not giving away the person’s name, law enforcement did put out an arrest warrant for the individual. As for the second shooter, investigators are still working to identify the person. 

G$ Lil Ronnie More Than A Rapper “He Was A Family Man”

G$ Lil Ronnie’s aunt, Stella Houston, spoke with reporters about the horrific incident, saying, “He was a rapper. He didn’t bother nobody.” She added, “He didn’t target nobody. He was a family man, and he was going around rapping, okay. Why would you target him? Cleaning the car out, and somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby. And a baby. His baby. A baby!”

Living close by the car wash, Becky Johnson recalled hearing multiple gunshots at the time of the shooting. “Six the first time, and then it was half a second, and I heard six more. Then a second later, I heard three.” Concerned over the noise, Johnson watched as people rushed from the area with some customers hiding behind their cars for safety. 

As for the car wash, the business said it was working closely with law enforcement and would be closed for the next two days to help with the investigation. For now, the motive behind the shooting is unclear.
