“They Are Seriously Talking About Doing Just That”: Insider Teases Big-Time Carrie Underwood News

Although Jamal Roberts walked away the winner of American Idol, the season seemed to focus on Carrie Underwood. The former winner decided to return to the show, judging alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. And to make the season even better, producers brought in Jelly Roll as the artist in residence. Producing some hilarious moments throughout the season, it appeared that Underwood and Jelly Roll might be looking to get into the studio for a future collaboration.

The idea of a duet with Jelly Roll and Underwood had fans already guessing what it might sound like. Given their talent, the two could easily produce a No. 1 hit. And according to an insider close to Underwood, the idea could become a reality. “She’s such a fan of his music too, she thinks he’s so talented and loves how their voices sound together. When fans started saying they should collab, that actually had a big impact. It put it out there and now they are seriously talking about doing just that.”

Carrie Underwood Not Slowing Down After ‘American Idol’

With the insider suggesting the two singers might work together, they were sure to add that it wasn’t going to happen overnight. Needing time to align schedules, decide which route to take, and also pick a song – the person continued, “It’s kind of a no-brainer to do this. It may even get fast tracked to capitalize on the fan interest right now.”

While season 23 of American Idol concluded, Underwood wasn’t looking to take time off. The insider noted how she already booked several gigs that could fill up 2025. “Being a judge on Idol is going to be such a nerve wracking experience, that would be enough to handle on its own, but on top of that she has all kinds of gigs lined up plus her residency in Las Vegas, it’s hard to imagine how she’ll pull it all off.”

Outside of her career in the music industry, Underwood also wanted to make time for her family, which consisted of her husband, Mike Fisher, and their two sons. Although just an idea for now, fans might want to prepare for a future collaboration between the country stars.
