The moment happened during Perry’s performance of her 2011 song “The One That Got Away.” Each night on tour, Perry has picked out audience members to come on stage and join her in performing the track.
According to Billboard, Perry spotted McKenna and her pal sitting in an upper section of Little Caesars Arena. Perry invited them to come down and waited for them to make their way to the stage.
In a TikTok video that was taken at the concert, McKenna clearly looked nervous as she stood on stage with Perry. Just after the singer encouraged McKenna to practice and breathe before the start of the song, the girl collapsed.
Perry immediately sprang into action, getting on the floor to check on McKenna and hold her head.

The outlet reported that Perry’s crew and medical staff rushed to help McKenna, as all the fans packed into the arena chanted her name in support.
When McKenna was taken off the stage, Perry led the crowd in a prayer, according to the outlet.
“Dear God, we pray for McKenna, that she will come back fully and brighter and better than ever. Amen,” Perry said.
Speaking to the crowd, Perry added, “It’s so much. Sometimes you’re so brave and you can get on stage, and it’s overwhelming. I understand that feeling.”
Later in the show, the outlet reported that Perry told the crowd, “McKenna’s doing great, by the way.”
Perry’s tour kicked off in April in Mexico City. She’ll next head to Toronto for a two-night stint. Shows across the U.S. will follow, before Perry wraps her North American run in Miami on Aug. 23.
Perry will then start some serious globetrotting, putting on her latest tour in South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. She’ll play her final show at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Park on Dec. 7.
