ARTIST: Chris DuPont

SONG: “Forgiveness”

HOMETOWN: Indianapolis, Indiana

CURRENT LOCATION: Ypsilanti, Michigan

AMBITIONS: Tour harder, write better, and learn to laugh at myself .

TURN-OFFS: Bad coffee, neighborhood fireworks, misinformation.

TURN-ONS: Graphic novels, crusty used bookstores.

DREAM GIG: Me, my guitar, and a string section in Hill Auditorium.

FAVORITE LYRIC: “Carolina in My Mind” by James Taylor

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: My infant son Leo. He has no fear, no filter, and more musical intelligence than is appropriate for someone less than a year old.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “I See Monsters” by Ryan Adams

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Neil Gaiman, Pope Francis, Barack Obama, James Taylor, Ray Bradbury (in another life, or a few years ago)

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: A close tie between Iron & Wine solo at Hill Auditorium and Sufjan Stevens’ Carrie & Lowell tour at Calvin College. Both set the bar so very high.

I WROTE THIS SONG… To make peace with my memories, release grudges, and hope that I mean it.
