Friday the 13th was an unfortunately unlucky day for Billie Eilish. Yesterday, December 13, the 22-year-old pop star performed at a sold-out arena in Glendale, Arizona. Sadly, the performance took an uncomfortable turn. Eilish was hit in the face with an object that was thrown from the crowd.

In a fan-recorded video of the incident, Eilish appeared to be hit in the face with a small blue object. The attack happened while she sang her Barbie soundtrack hit, “What Was I Made For?”. She quickly stopped and looked at the crowd with visible disappointment on her face. However, Eilish quickly recovered and continued singing the song. Fans in the crowd can be heard groaning in anger over the sudden attack.
It’s not clear what the object thrown at Eilish was, though it appears to be some sort of bracelet.

We have to give Eilish props for continuing with her set. Many musicians have been pummeled with objects from unruly crowds in the past, and many of them have opted to cut their sets short and leave. Eilish, however, kept it professional for her ride-or-die fans.
While Eilish has not yet acknowledged the assault on her socials, fans have been sending support her way via her Instagram account. On a recent post, a number of fans have asked her in the comment section if she’s doing alright.
Arizona Fans Weren’t Happy About Billie Eilish’s Concert
The young Grammy-winning crooner’s concert was full of drama in Glendale that evening, even outside of the sudden smack in the face. Reportedly, a number of fans who showed up for Eilish’s Desert Diamond Arena concert were turned away at the doors, despite waiting hours to get in.
Fans who reportedly purchased tickets from third-party services like SeatGeek were turned away, as tickets sold outside of Live Nation or Ticketmaster were apparently not honored. According to some fans, the drama started ahead of the day of the concert when fans showed up to collect their wristbands ahead of time.
“There were hundreds of fans crying on the side,” one fan told AZ Family. “I was freaking out for my friends. Never had this happen at a Billie show ever before. They were saying, ‘If you don’t have this orange background, you are not getting into the show tomorrow.’”
The Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour is still going strong, with some tickets still available on Ticketmaster.
