Gibson Teams up With Guitar Center to Raise Funds for L.A. Wildfire Relief

The guitar giant has already pledged $250,000 to relief efforts

Amid Los Angeles’ ongoing wildfire crisis, Gibson, Gibson Gives (the brand’s philanthropic arm), and Guitar Center have teamed up, along with some prominent brands in the music gear space, to raise funds for fire victims in Los Angeles’ music community.

“The recent wildfires have deeply impacted our artists and friends in Los Angeles,” states Gibson CEO Cesar Gueikian regarding the brand’s humanitarian efforts. “Gibson is committed to donating directly to these incredible organizations and working together with the music community to deliver immediate and impactful aid, and to help communities rebuild.”

The $250,000 cash donations will be distributed across Gibson’s humanitarian partners, including MusiCares, which will provide $1,500 in cash and a $500 grocery card for musicians impacted by the crisis.

The iconic American instruments manufacturer, alongside mega-retailer Guitar Center (and charitable organization The Guitar Center Music Foundation) has also enlisted the help of some notable brands across the musical instruments and gear space, including AKG, Audio Technica, JBL, C.F. Martin, Roland, and more to help with the relief efforts.

Not only are the brands coming together to raise cash funds for fire victims in the community, but Gibson Gives and the Guitar Center Foundation are teaming up to replace gear for musicians, music professionals, and music education nonprofits that suffered losses to the fires. Los Angeles area musicians who lost instruments or gear can apply for this special one-time grant now through February 28th, 2025.

Plus, with NAMM (the industry’s biggest trade show) still happening this week in Anaheim despite the turmoil in Southern California, Gibson and Guitar Center are also joining forces with the NAMM Foundation's L.A. Wildfires Relief Fund, which will provide two L.A. Wildfire Relief Centers to provide information to attendees about how they can support the relief efforts.
