Taylor Swift Will Present at This Year’s GRAMMY Awards

Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are guaranteed to generate buzz any time either is nominated for an award. And the pop icons have racked up 17 nods between the two of them at this year’s GRAMMY Awards. Naturally, many wondered if they would attend the ceremony. A new promo for this year’s show answered that question, confirming both women as attendees. On Thursday (Jan. 30,) the Recording Academy had another announcement. The “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer will also take the stage as a presenter during Sunday’s (Feb. 2) ceremony at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Which Award Will Taylor Swift Present?

Taking to social media Thursday (Jan. 30), the Recording Academy posted, “Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift is joining us this Sunday as a presenter at the 67th GRAMMYs.”

No word yet on which prize the “Anti-Hero” songstress will hand out. Swift, 35, is up for six awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year. If she takes that trophy home for The Tortured Poets Department, Swift will make history as the first artist to win Album of the Year five times.

However, she’ll have to beat out Andre 3000 (New Blue Sun,) Beyoncé (Cowboy Carter,) Sabrina Carpenter (Short n’ Sweet,) Charli XCX (Brat,) Jacob Collier (Djesse Vol. 4,) Billie Eilish (Hit Me Hard and Soft,) and Chappell Roan (The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.)

Will She Make An Announcement?

Taylor Swift has a penchant for casually weaving major news into her acceptance speeches. Last year, she announced her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, after receiving her 13th Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.

With two albums left to go in her re-recording project, Swifties are on high alert for any whiff of Reputation (Taylor’s Version.) And while an announcement isn’t impossible, this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony will take on a more somber tone in light of the devastating southern California wildfires. Many Swifties have pointed out that the “Bad Blood” singer will likely not want to disrupt that message.
