Although having spent over a decades in genres like hip hop and country, 2024 marked a big year for Shaboozey. Not only did the singer get the chance to work with Beyonce on her debut country album, Cowboy Carter, but he also released hit songs “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and “Good News.” “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” even gained him a Billboard Music Award for Top Country Song. While continuing to expand his career in country music, the singer recently teased a future collaboration with another top country star, Morgan Wallen.

Appearing to be on top of country music, Wallen gained fame when producing hits like “Chasin’ You” and “Thought You Should Know.” He even won the Entertainer of the Year award at the CMAs. When speaking with Billboard at the Grammy Awards, the singer hinted at working with Wallen in the future. “Stuff’s comin’, man, stuff’s comin.’”
While only a few words, Shaboozey sent fans into a frenzy with the possibility of a song featuring both the singer and Wallen. He didn’t stop there either as he added, “He shot me a text the other day and it’s just good that he’s doing good, taking care of himself, putting out some new music that I feel the world is excited about… and ready for.”
Shaboozey Considers Morgan Wallen A “Good Homie”
With Shaboozey not giving fans too many details, it appears, for now, that Wallen and the singer are just friends. Speaking with Billboard in the past, Shaboozey showered Wallen with praise. “He’s someone that makes great music and music that connects with a lot of people. So as a country artist, someone who loves his space and I pay respect. And Morgan, I met Morgan and he was a good homie. There was even conversations about him jumping on the record early on and it’s cool again. It’s cool to just be able to know these people, honestly.”
As for his own career, Shaboozey appeared thrilled about what he accomplished and his future in country music. “I’m so excited about it [my upcoming music]. I feel like I’m now coming into my own. This [Grammy Awards] is just an extra treat on top of everything I’ve done so far in my career. I can’t wait to keep it going.”
