Chesney performed his 2018 track “Get Along”, and reminded viewers why he’s so celebrated as he did so.

The performance was memorable for Taylor Swift fans, one of whom took to X to recall, “Remember when we collectively watched a Kenny Chesney concert on a grainy live stream bc for some reason we were convinced Taylor would be there.”

“If I had a nickel for every time I’d been tricked into watching a Kenny Chesney performance bc of Taylor Swift in the last year, I’d have two nickels. . .but it’s weird that it happened twice,” another person tweeted.

While Chesney’s not up for any awards at this year’s ceremony, that didn’t stop him from having the time of his life on stage. Ahead of the show, Chesney took to Instagram to promote his performance.

“We’re bringing No Shoes Nation to the @iHeartRadio Music Awards stage! #iHeartAwards,” he wrote. “Don’t miss my performance!”

Chesney’s performance comes ahead of his highly-anticipated 12-show stint at Sphere Las Vegas, which will kick off Memorial Day weekend.
