Carter Faith admits she can hold one hell of a grudge in her latest song. “Grudge” is a honky-tonk tinged track that flexes Faith’s vocal agility. She sounds as pitch-perfect here as she does resentful.

“‘Grudge’ is just a silly little song that I wrote to get some pettiness out of my system,” Faith said in a press statement. “I think we all have one or two people we can think of who pissed us off good…Thanks to Tofer Brown and Steph Jones for writing this one with me!”

Faith doesn’t mince her words in “Grudge.” While singing about a back-stabbing friend, Faith lets it all out. It was a release for Faith, but it’s similarly cathartic for her listeners.
‘Cause I can’t write a song to save my life / Ain’t that what you said to Caroline / If I were a good Christian woman (like you) I’d probably forgive / But I’m pretty sure that even Jesus thinks that you’re a b**ch / Someone hold my beer ’cause I can’t hold my tongue / But I can hold one hell of a grudge, Faith sings in the chorus of “Grudge”.
