Wake up! My Chemical Romance news just dropped! The iconic 2000s emo rock band that we all know and love released their final album, Danger Days, way back in 2010. The band has since gotten back together in 2019 and is still touring pretty extensively. Sadly, hope for new music has been more or less squashed through the years. Now, it looks like we’re at least going to get some new, previously unreleased live recordings on the upcoming reissue of My Chemical Romance’s famed 2004 record Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.

The deluxe edition of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge will be an entirely remixed release courtesy of Grammy Award-winning producer Rich Costey. The record will also feature new artwork. Four bonus tracks will also be included in the release, which were recorded for BBC Radio 1’s The Lock Up back in 2005. The live tracks in question will include “Helena”, “The Ghost Of You”, “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)”, and “You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison”.
The reissue of the major label debut from My Chemical Romance is set for release on June 6 of this year. You can pre-order your copy here.
Can My Chemical Romance Fans Hope for Any New Music After the Reissue of ‘Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge’?
My Chemical Romance is set to kick off their Long Live The Black Parade Tour this year. They will perform their hit album The Black Parade in its entirety. That’s quite exciting, but it’s not exactly a surefire sign that the band will release new music soon.
My Chemical Romance’s last studio recording was the surprise-released track “The Foundations Of Decay” back in 2022. The band hasn’t dropped any new studio-recorded music since then. It’s a pretty big bummer. The band got back together more than five years ago and haven’t even teased a new album.
So, in short, don’t get your hopes up. The best we can hope for at this point are those unreleased live tracks on the deluxe edition of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. But who knows? I hope I’ll eat my words.
My Chemical Romance is set to tour this summer from July through September.
