American Idol wrapped up season 23 Hollywood Week with multiple stellar performances. Unfortunately, only 24 could move forward in the competition. Zaylie Windsor automatically advanced Sunday (April 6) with an incredible rendition of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.” Windsor joined Gabby Samone, Mattie Pruitt, and Canaan James Hill in bypassing the Head to Head Round and heading straight to the Top 24. Now, we know the names of the other 20 artists who’ll join them.

Until this week, judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood have been tasked with deciding who stays and who goes. Now, that power shifts to the viewers. Fans can vote for their favorite contestants up to 10 times each, using one of three methods.
Now airing two nights a week, you can catch American Idol at 8 p.m. Eastern Sunday and Monday (April 14) on ABC. The next two episodes will take place at Aulani, a Disney resort and spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii.
Jelly Roll returns this week after making his debut as the show’s first-ever artist in residence. Grammy-winning musicians Ashanti and Josh Groban will join him this week to mentor the Top 24.
Ashanti Will Also Perform Tonight
In fact, Ashanti will do more than simply mentor the Top 24 on American Idol. The Grammy-winning R&B star will also perform her 2008 hit “The Way That I Love You,” along with 2002’s “Foolish,” onstage at Aulani.
While Ashanti’s last album, 2014’s Braveheart, came over a decade ago, the “Rock Wit U” singer-songwriter also teased a new single, “Call You Up,” in a preview of tonight’s performance. “It’s amazing and I can’t wait for you guys to see it,” she told the crowd.
Ashanti is currently on tour with Sean Paul and Fat Joe.
