Iggy Pop knows how to close out a show. After the end of a recent performance in London, the 78-year-old rocker left the stage via a coffin that was rolled out to him.

In a clip shared on social media, a shirtless Iggy stepped into the coffin, which was then wheeled off the stage as he waved to the crowd.

On X, Iggy noted, “How you exit is equally important to how you enter.”

Then, over on Instagram, the singer had a challenge for fans.

“LONDON We know how it started and this is how it ended,” he wrote. “Would love to see some splendid and witty captions for this one!”

Fans rose to the occasion, flooding the comments section with hilarious ideas.

“Not Today,” one person suggested, while another offered up, “Still shirtless after all these years.”

“When death knocks but you’re Iggy Pop,” a third person wrote, with another user quipping, “Keith Richards, there’s room for two in there.”

Iggy Pop Doesn’t Plan to Retire Anytime Soon

Iggy is current on his Lust for Life Tour. He has shows scheduled all over Europe this summer, save for two stateside concerts in July. Iggy will play in Portland, Oregon, on July 26, and in Redmond, Washington, on July 28.

Though his latest announced show of the year will be held on Sept. 12 in Argentina, that will not be the last time Iggy takes the stage.

In fact, during a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Iggy revealed that he doesn’t plan to stop touring anytime soon.

“The central job has a lot to do with beating on things, strumming things, waving your arms about, and opening your mouth to yell or talk or sing a melody,” he told the outlet. “And I enjoy those things.”

“There are days where I think, ‘Oh, I’d like to be by the sea with my feet up,’ of which I do at least a few times every year, but to actually shut down the part of you that needs to compete, that needs to move forward and just imagine that you’re going to enjoy [that]? I don’t think so,” Iggy added. “I don’t think that works.”

Iggy admitted that, “sometimes I think, well, maybe I could be one of these guys that just takes lots of mega vitamins and does push-ups when he’s 92 or something, to see how long I could live, but I don’t think I could do that either.”

“So I’m just somebody who’s lucky that I found something to do when I was a pre-teen,” he said, “and I can still do it.
