Rising Country Singer Gets Kicked Out of His Own Concert, Sets the Record Straight

Finding inspiration from artists like Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Blink-182, and Linkin Park, Dylan Marlowe eventually found his way to the stage. And just last year, he released his album Mid-Twenties Crisis in September. But even before releasing the album, Marlowe already made a name for himself as he helped write the No. 1 hit song “Last Night Lonely” for Jon Pardi. While continuing to climb the ranks in country music, Marlowe found himself being kicked out of a country music festival he was performing at.

Throughout the weekend, Country Jam USA welcomed stars like Craig Morgan, Jake Owen, and even Sam Hunt. While entertaining thousands of fans, Marlowe got his chance to perform on Saturday. Thrilled about the opportunity, the country singer played his set without issue. But it was when he decided to watch Owen perform that one security guard decided to kick them out.

Making its rounds on social media, a video showed Marlowe casually walking out of the festival as a massive security guard stood behind him, holding his shirt. Even with people looking at the singer, he continued to walk out, not causing a scene. Fans quickly weighed in on the situation, admitting, “Bro let go of his shirt. Bros a security guard and think he’s above the law.” Other comments considered the security guard an “idiot” for not knowing the singer.

Dylan Marlowe Sets The Record Straight On Why He Was Kicked Out

While fans speculated as to what exactly happened, Marlowe shared his own video, explaining the situation. “Just trying to stay out of the way. Front of house was like this tower, so there’s like second story, first story of the booth. And so we’re up top watching, probably for 10 or 12 minutes. This dude comes up and he says, you know, we can’t be there.”

Not wanting to escalate the situation, Marlowe admitted the conversation started off polite but quickly turned sour. Having just played on stage, the country singer believed moving to the pit, where the security guard wanted him, would have caused a scene with fans. Only wanting to watch Owen perform, Marlowe found what he considered the perfect spot. And to make the whole incident even crazier, he was wearing his all-access badge.

Still, with the security guard not budging, Marlowe revealed, “I also won’t lie and say like I wasn’t kind of rude back to the guy because I’m not going to paint it like I was just this perfectly, you know, great dude who didn’t, who wasn’t rude back to him after he was rude to me. So definitely, you know, not saying that I was perfect by any means.”

Eventually, the situation escalated when the cops were called. “So then these cops come up and I was like, oh God. So we talked to the cops and we say, hey guys, like we had these passes. Not sure like what the confusion is because we were told these are all access passes. We’re just trying to watch the set. To which the cops responded, this dude, this security guy is our boss and he’s telling us to get y’all out of here.”

While Marlowe decided to delete the video he shared of the incident, he wasn’t about to let the security ruin Country Jame USA. “The festival was great, and all those people there were great… I posted it from a place of frustration yesterday. I was pretty angry when I got backstage.”
