Over the weekend, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, welcomed stars like Sam Hunt, Jake Owen, Craig Morgan, and even Dylan Marlowe to Country Jam USA music festival. With thousands of people in attendance, security worked around the clock to make sure the audience and performers had a great time. But for Marlowe, the event took an unusual turn when a security guard decided to kick him out. Shocked by how the incident occurred, Country Jam USA decided to share a statement regarding the footage showing the security guard forcing Marlowe to leave the concert.

Before the festival learned about the incident, Marlowe posted a video, which he deleted, that showed a security guard walking behind him, keeping his hand on the singer’s shirt. Although the country singer didn’t let the security guard ruin his good time, Marlowe admitted in the video that he only wanted to watch Owen perform. And with his all-access pass, he thought he was in the clear. That was until one security guard approached him.
“We kind of went back and forth of like trying to explain to him that we had just played and that we were trying to just watch Jake’s set, stay out of the way… I asked him where else we could go then that would be out of the way. And he kept saying the pit. But if we go in the pit during the middle of the day, it’s going to probably cause a little bit of a scene just because we just got off stage and we’re in the same clothes.”

Country Jam USA “Won’t Apologize”—Sort Of
With Marlowe not wanting to distract fans from his friend’s performance, he soon found himself confronted by the police. “So after that, there was definitely a few heated words exchanged to that guy. Nothing like crazy, crazy, but I feel like he was being kind of rude to me and I was rude back to him and I shouldn’t have been. So I definitely feel bad about that.”
While fans weighed in on the situation, Marlowe still enjoyed the opportunity to perform, insisting, “The festival was great, and all those people there were great… I posted it from a place of frustration yesterday. I was pretty angry when I got backstage.”
As for Country Jam USA, the organizer shared their own take on the situation, apologizing for how the security guard approached the singer. “While there are two sides to every story, we completely agree that communication and this situation could have been handled better. We sincerely apologize to Dylan Marlowe for the miscommunication.”

Although apologizing to Marlowe for the mishap, there was one part Country Jam USA wasn’t sorry for. “What we won’t apologize for is the incredible performance Dylan Marlowe put on last night and how much we can’t wait to have him back.”
Already welcomed back, Marlowe will surely be able to enjoy his all-access pass at the next Country Jam USA festival.
