Cody Johnson doesn’t define success by his four No. 1 singles or three CMA Awards. Instead, the Texan’s greatest joy is his wife, Brandi, and their two daughters, Clara Mae and Cori. And knowing how important fatherhood is to the “Human” crooner makes this father-daughter moment during his recent concert that much sweeter.

Cody Johnson Sends Personalized Birthday Message to Young Fan
Recently, a little girl named Blake turned 6 years old, and all she wanted for her birthday was to sing “Dirt Cheap” with Cody Johnson. So she and her dad set out to see the 38-year-old country star with a sign in tow reading, “It’s my 6th B-Day! Can I sing Dirt Cheap w/ you?”
Unfortunately, Johnson hadn’t spotted her sign by the time his 2024 hit came up in the setlist. But what happened instead was arguably more precious. Fellow concertgoers captured video footage of Blake singing her heart out to her favorite song. Beside her, her dad sings along, never taking his loving gaze off his little girl.
Blake’s mom, Jenna, shared the priceless memory to her own TikTok page. “THIS MOMENT WAS EVERYTHING,” Jenna wrote. “Blake had a request for her 6th birthday. She wanted to sing dirt cheap with her favorite singer, Cody Johnson. The crowd was rooting for her. They made sure she was acknowledged. Although it didn’t happen, he sent her a personal birthday message, and she gained the attention of the crowd. Thank you to all of you who were a part of this special moment.”
Understandably, the entire melted. “the way he’s looking at her is healing something in me i didn’t know needed healed,” commented one TikTok user. “so precious.”
Another added, “The way you look at her, made me cry my eyes out.”

He’ll Be a Dad Again Soon
Now that he’s got the “girl dad” role down, Cody Johnson is ready for his next parenting adventure. He and wife Brandi are gearing up to welcome Baby No. 3, a little boy.
The couple confirmed Brandi’s pregnancy in May 2025 on the ACM Awards red carpet.
“My girls .. you can’t beat my girls,” Johnson said. “I love my two girls with all my heart. They’re 10 and 8, Clara and Cori, and I think I’m excited to watch them help raise this little boy.”
