Releasing his self-titled album in 1962, Bob Dylan went on to become the poet laureate of folk-rock music. More than six decades later, the 84-year-old legend is still full of surprises, recently playing one of his signature songs live for the first time in 15 years. Now, the “Blowin’ in the Wind” warbler has scheduled some upcoming tour dates across the pond for this fall.

Leave Your Phone at Home
Once again, Bob Dylan has banned concertgoers at his upcoming UK shows from using their cell phones during his performance. Attendees put their electronic devices in a special bag, which is then sealed throughout the concert. The Yondr pouches close automatically inside the venue and later unlock in the concourse.

In the event of an emergency, attendees can unlock their phones at any time by going to a dedicated area intended for phone use.
Dylan has said this policy is meant to “make the occasion even more unique.” And the 10-time Grammy Award winner isn’t the only artist in this camp. Both Alicia Keys and Jack White also require their fans to place their phones in pouches during concerts.
“We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON,” White said in a 2022 statement.
